Our testing methodology

Canna Lab’s preferred method, High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography ( HPTLC ) detects and quantifies active cannabinoids present in cannabis: CBD, CBN, THC, THCV, CBG, CBC along with neutral cannabinoids such as THCA and CBDA.  HPTLC give us a accurate  quantitative report of these cannabinoid levels in your medicine.

Other testing methods used in the industry, gas chromatography and high pressure liquid chromatography, cannot accurately
account for many cannabinoids. These laboratory’s often use “correction” factors to quantify these cannabinoids.

Canna Lab  follows validated standard operating procedures. This means that our preferred method has been reviewed
and approved by a team of international cannabis scientists and validated at the University of Leiden, Netherlands.
Our lab technicians are certified annually by CannaTest, the world leaders in cannabis analysis and research.

Mold, mildew and yeast;  microbial cultures and inspections as per American Herbal Pharmacopeia standards for total
quantitative colony counts, cultured.

Macroscopic screening for contaminants that can be harmful and/or deteriorate the quality of your medicine.

Pesticide screening follows the 2009 National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Standards TNI, incorporated by reference.

It is impractical for any laboratory to test for all Acaricides, Fungicides, Growth Regulators, Herbicides and  Insecticides
available on the market

At Canna Lab, we screen for hundreds of harmful chemicals that are popular to, and may be used in cannabis cultivation.
Using Gas Chromatography and ELISA’s, we screen for organochlorines, organphosphates, carbonates and pyrethroids.

Cannabinoid blends affect each of us differently based on of our endo cannabinoid cycle. With testing, we can find out what blend of cannabinoids works best for us. Be able to choose our medication based on our unique CB1/CB2 – endo-cannabinoid system. Talk to your access point about your specific cannabinoid needs and third party testing. It’s important to know that your medicine has been tested by a laboratory adhering to validated standards and procedures. You will receive an easy to read and understand report of your medicine.
